School Based Apprenticeships & Traineeships with WPC Group

What are School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBAT)?

SBAT’s are an alternative to leaving school by allowing you to continue the core curriculum at school while starting a career by combining training with working in a real job, for a real boss with a real wage, while still attending school.

Who can do a School Based Apprenticeship or Traineeship?

Secondary school students enrolled in VCE or VCAL

And either

Australian citizens
Permanent residents

School Based Apprenticeships or Traineeships allow student to:

Get paid and gain workplace skills while attending school
Receive a qualification in a field of your interest
An alternative to leaving school by allowing you to continue the core curriculum while starting a career
Allow students to learn and engage in the working environment
On the job supervision and training
A WPC Group mentor attends the workplace and school on a regular basis for support
Students will be employed by WPC Group for 1-2 days per week working with one of the WPC Host Employers who have a strong youth, traineeship and apprenticeship focus
