In partnership with WPC Group (Group Training Organisation) and Kangan Institute (Registered Training Organisation), LSH Auto Australia, Australia’s leading Mercedes-Benz retail group, and voted Employer of Choice (Financial Review – Best Places to Work), have designed and are excited to announce the ADVANCE Automotive Apprenticeship Program to ensure their apprentices are provided with everything they need for a long successful career as a Light Vehicle Mechanical Technician.

ADVANCE is a bespoke 2.5-year apprenticeship program that accelerates LSH Auto Australia apprentices learning and skills development to become qualified sooner. The accredited training programs at Kangan Institute use a blended delivery strategy that provides apprentices with the best opportunity to succeed in achieving a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology and securing a long career with LSH Auto Australia. A variety of theoretical, practical and interactive delivery strategies are employed.

Strategies include Apprentice Trainer & Assessor presentations and demonstrations, practical workshop demonstrations within a group or one on one, group discussions, question and answer assessments, case studies, structured exercises and online learning strategies.

Kangan Institute Trainers and Assessors have a vast and varied amount of training experience in their area of expertise and are formally qualified to deliver accredited training and assessment in line with the training package or accredited course guidelines.

There are two components that make up the ADVANCE LSH Auto Australia training:

  • Off-the-job training which will be conducted by Kangan Institute Trainers & Assessors, where apprentices will develop new skills and knowledge, as well as be assessed on what has been learnt.

  • On-the-job training which will be coordinated and monitored by a mentor and conducted within the workplace. This provides the apprentice with an opportunity to apply their new skills and knowledge to specific work tasks.
