Harrison Newton Receives the Chris Ingram Educational Scholarship
WPC Group congratulated automotive light vehicle apprentice Harrison Newton for receiving the prestigious Chris Ingram Educational Scholarship, which recognises academic excellence, adaptability, resilience, and leadership in the workplace.
Harrison works at the largest Mercedes-Benz dealer in Queensland, Mercedes-Benz Brisbane, which is a member of the LSH Auto Australia's network of outlets.
The scholarship provides Harrison with a $3,000 allowance to purchase trade tools and equipment. He will also receive specialised public speaking training and mentoring to prepare him for his new role as a LSH Auto Australia and WPC Group Apprentice Ambassador. In this capacity, Harrison will share his experience as an automotive apprentice with job seekers and school students and discuss the career opportunities available in the automotive sector.
The Chris Ingram Educational Scholarship applicants were assessed based on academic excellence, leadership in the workplace, and adaptability and resilience. The WPC Group and LSH Auto Australia express their gratitude for their ongoing support of the ambassador program, which provides valuable development opportunities for their apprentices in the automotive industry.
