Mercedes-Benz Sydney and Brisbane Win Recognition Awards for Commitment to Training and Skills

Mercedes-Benz Sydney and Mercedes-Benz Brisbane, members of LSH Auto Australia, have been awarded Employer Recognition Awards for their longstanding commitment to training and skills development. Mercedes-Benz Sydney were given this award on July 11th at the ‘Celebrating the Citi New Recruits’ event held at Parliament House in Sydney, NSW, and Mercedes-Benz Brisbane were awarded on July 12th at another event in Brisbane, QLD.

Founded in 1993, Lei Shing Hong Limited’s Auto division is a premium automobile group engaged in the wholesaling and, particularly, retailing of automobiles for the major global brands including Mercedes-Benz across international markets.

In May 2017, Lei Shing Hong Limited and Daimler AG deepened their long-standing and successful collaborative ties with the latter taking a minority interest of 15% in LSH Auto International Limited, a subsidiary of the Group specialising in the Mercedes-Benz cars retail business. It represents Daimler AG’s passenger vehicles, vans, trucks and brands in eight markets, making it one of the world’s largest dealer groups for Mercedes-Benz passenger vehicles.

Mercedes-Benz Sydney and Brisbane, a part of the LSH Auto Group, say they were delighted by the decision of WPC Group to award them with Employer Recognition Awards.

Mercedes-Benz Sydney and Brisbane, a member of the LSH Auto Australia, have a real interest in supporting apprenticeships, traineeships and skilling the youth of Australia.

Nathan Ellery, the NSW State Manager of WPC Group commented on Sydney Mercedes-Benz’s strong commitment to apprenticeships and youth pathways.

Since 2000, WPC Group has placed 266 apprentices and trainees with host employer, Mercedes-Benz Melbourne, Sydney and Queensland. Most of them do light vehicle apprenticeships, but there are also business trainees and apprentices focusing on spare parts and spray painting
